Dr. Omar Hussien earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at the University of Montana after completing a Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Cairo University. He has practiced clinically for 29 years across orthopedic, vestibular, and post-surgical rehabilitation, and founded Progressive Physical Therapy in Hinsdale in 2007.
Dr. Omar's clinical focus is on the spine and vestibular system — the two areas of physical therapy where misdiagnosis is most common and where the right initial assessment changes everything. He is credentialed in the McKenzie Method (MDT), the most evidence-supported approach to mechanical back pain, and in vestibular rehabilitation through Emory University.
Beyond direct patient care, Dr. Omar sets the clinical standard the entire practice runs on: same therapist every visit, 60-minute one-on-one sessions, evidence-based plans, criterion-based discharge. Patients come to Progressive PT because that standard is rare. They stay because it produces measurable outcomes.
