    A plain-English talk on what lymphedema and chronic swelling are, why they happen, and what modern treatment looks like.

    Brief, private screenings with our clinical team — entirely optional, no obligation.

  • Compression & pump demonstrations

    Compression garment and pneumatic pump demonstrations by leading vendors, with time for questions.

  • Refreshments

    Light refreshments served — come early, stay after, and ask anything.

Lead Lymphedema Therapist, Progressive Physical Therapy

Lamiaa is a certified lymphedema therapist and one of the few CLT-LANA-certified physical therapists practicing in the western Chicago suburbs — a board credential held by roughly one therapist per 100,000 Americans. She specializes in Complete Decongestive Therapy, the international standard of care for lymphedema, and leads all lymphedema and oncology rehabilitation care at our Hinsdale clinic.

This session is designed for community members, families, and caregivers interested in learning about lymphedema and chronic swelling — including swelling related to cancer treatment, surgery, or vascular conditions. No referral needed, and no preparation required — just bring your questions.

Conference Room — Lower Level. Enter the main lobby and take the stairs or elevator down one floor; signs will point the way.
