This is a great place for PT. I have two issues and they are managing both. Head and neck lymphedema as well as a shoulder problem. Laima’s Hefni is a certified lymphedema therapist and she has been making wonderful progress with my neck lymphedema following surgery. As well my arm/shoulder therapy is progressing and my range of motion continues to improve. I would highly recommend Progressive PT for their caring and complete services.

The team of therapists, assistants, and receptionist make you feel welcome, safe, and secure while healing evolves. I began therapy at PPT a couple months ago feeling severe back pain and serious balance issues. Bi-weekly physical therapy before and after a surgical procedure has resulted in my ability to walk with a cane pain free. Variations in therapy exercises continue to keep me engaged in my recovery process. Highly recommend PPT!

I cannot say enough positive things about my treatment at Progressive PT. After dealing with nearly daily headaches for 3+ years, and then being told they were tension headaches, I knew I had to make a change. Omar and the team at PPT have changed my life. After just 1 week of therapy, my number of headaches were cut in half. Continuing on with treatment, I now have maybe 1 every few weeks but the best part is I was taught how to manage the headaches and make them fade without medications. Knowledge is power and Omar provides the education to give patients tools to help their issues. I’m beyond happy with the care I received and the life the I have back :) thank you all

Near the end of April, I started receiving physical therapy for my lymphedema at Progressive Physical Therapy in Hinsdale, Illinois. My physical therapist was and still is Lamiaa Hefni. She is an expertise in this field. From day one, she took her time to explain the condition and taught me how to do Manual Lymph Drainage on my skin. With each week, exercises were added on, to help with this condition. Lamiaa is not only very knowledgeable; she is kind, communicative and patient with me. It is now mid June, I find myself doing much better. I am more confident on how to handle lymphedema due to Lamiaa. She goes over and beyond expectations. The staff at Progressive Physical Therapy assisted me every step of the way. They are very courteous and caring individuals. From the moment I made my first phone call, Lily, was very helpful and informative. I was treated with respect and as an individual. They really listened to my concerns and addressed each one of them. I highly recommend Progressive Physical Therapy. They are the BEST!!!

Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Lydia made me comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. Kevin was very friendly and extremely helpful. Lamia explained everything in detail to what was my condition, lymphedema, to what therapy she was going to do. She made me feel I mattered. As a senior that is very important. I highly recommend them.

Omar evaluated my condition and created a plan to improve my physical mobility and manage my pain. He is very caring, and knowledgeable in his field. I have been attending Progressive-Physical Therapy (PPT) under the care of Omar for several years, a couple of months at a time. Before my visits, I began to have difficulty doing a favorite hobby: watching birds in the forest preserves. Walking, stopping, viewing birds through binoculars and restarting requires balance and PPT was the solution that enabled me to maintain my balance on the local forest and grassland trails that I walk to see and monitor birds. Each time my balance began to wane, I have returned to Omar for refresher sessions that have kept me able to negotiate the unevenness of these trails. Also, I travel internationally to view birds and have visited every continent. This year, my 80th, I was just in Ghana, West Africa for three weeks and traversed even poorer trails that would have been impossible without my balance training. The last trail involved a 10 mile round trip and an elevation gain of 1300 feet, along a narrow path, often covered in vines and grasses, downed trees, washed out sections, and rubble. Thank you Omar, Sandy, and aids, all of whom are professional, personable, and considerate, which made my decisions to return for more therapy and some of their humor no-brainers.

Omar has done a great job improving my condition. I continue to make forward progress on my balance and strength. I would recommend highly. Professional, friendly environment, with the right equipment.

The atmosphere at PPT is personal, friendly and inviting. I was treated for lymphedema. Over a period of several weeks I learned a great deal about dealing with lymphedema, and the hierarchy of importance of the various treatment methods. I felt invited to help myself with this issue, never pressured. The therapist, Lamiaa, is knowledgeable and lovely to work with. I highly recommend PPT for anyone who needs this therapy and prefers to enjoy the visit in a positive, healing surrounding.
